Each local animal teaches a sound or skill. Children practice speech, vocabulary, and comprehension, and families share traditional languages when Moe visits home.

Children learn best in caring, culturally connected spaces. Moe the Mouse™ encourages relationships, community knowledge, and family language sharing to support children’s growth.

Clear guidance helps educators integrate activities into circle time, centers, and play. Moe’s home visits also encourage rich, family-supported language learning.

Educators coach speech sounds, build vocabulary, and guide language expression and comprehension. Children gain confidence and explore Indigenous languages and culture through supportive teaching and family involvement.

By honouring local culture through meaningful adaptation.

Educators are encouraged to adapt Moe to their program by adding local language, stories, regalia, and animal helpers. These adaptations deepen cultural learning and help children see their voices reflected. Larger community-wide versions require a license and support from BCACCS.
